Just 15 minutes from DoceLunas hotel in Jaco, or half hour by bicycle, you will find the Tulin Wildlife refuge. November through January, sea turtle egg clutches hatch and volunteers and sometimes lucky bystanders pluck them from the wriggling mass in the bucket and line them up for the race to the sea.
